Vacation Prep: Fun Beach Activities

Whether you’ve booked a cottage near the water or you’ll be heading to the many urban beaches scattered around Canadian cities, here are some fun beach activities to keep you and your family active all summer!

Stand-up Paddleboard. You can kneel or stand on a wide surfboard and paddle with an oar. The best part? You can bring kids - and even pets - onto the wide, stable boards!

Frisbee. The beach is the perfect place to teach your kids the best wrist flick to throw a frisbee. Just watch out for sandcastles!

Collect and Create. Seashells and unusual rocks are perfect collectible items to get everyone in the family wandering down the beach. Have a contest for the strangest shape or colour, or use your findings to decorate a sandcastle.
