Want to spend more one-on-one time? Try these five tips for feeling closer!
Give your cell phones some alone time. Leave your devices in another room for an hour or two (or longer), and take advantage of that time to have dinner, watch an episode of your favourite series, or simply chat together.
Plan a date night… at home! It’s so important to spend time together, but that doesn’t necessarily require going out. Make staying in together at least once a week something to look forward to.
Try something new together. When’s the last time you tried a new sport or activity? Sign up for a cooking class, attend a pottery workshop, or even take up rock climbing. It’ll give you a chance to bond over something new.
Go back to basics. Sometimes, feeling connected can start with something as simple as asking the other person how their day was… and actually taking the time to listen.
Spend an evening reading with your sweetie. Give your smartphones a break and curl up with your favourite books.
