Peach Crisp
Fruit is amazing stuff. It’s refreshing and tasty and sweet. Did you know you could bring out even more sweetness by heating them up? Sounds crazy, but it’s true. Like pineapple on the BBQ. Or peaches in the oven. Baked with a hint of vanilla, a sprinkling of sugar and cinnamon and topped with walnuts, pecans or almonds. Amazing stuff indeed.
Ingredients
- Heat-stable sugar substitute equal to 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1-1/2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 6 cups peeled, sliced fresh peaches (6 to 8 medium) or two 16-ounce bags frozen peaches (thawed)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup Large Flake Quaker® Oats or Quick Quaker® Oats (uncooked)
- 1/4 cup coarsely chopped walnuts, pecans or almonds (optional)
- 4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) margarine, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
How to make it
- Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 8-inch square glass baking dish with cooking spray.
- For filling, combine sweetener or sugar, flour and cinnamon in large bowl; mix well. Add peaches and vanilla; stir until fruit is evenly coated. Spoon into baking dish.
- For topping, combine all ingredients in medium bowl; mix well. Sprinkle evenly over fruit.
- Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until fruit is tender. Serve warm.
